Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of terms

TL;DR: using LATORIN means you agree to these Terms.

By accessing or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use LATORIN. Continued use after we publish updates means you accept the revised Terms (see Changes).

2. Your account

TL;DR: minimum age 13; you are responsible for your account and login details.

You must be at least 13 years old to register. If you are under 18, you should use the service with a parent or guardian's knowledge and consent, as required where you live (including Iran). You are responsible for your username, password, and linked phone/email, and for all activity under your account. Do not share login details or OTP codes. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Acceptable use

TL;DR: use LATORIN only for personal exam prep. No account sharing, content scraping, or cheating.

You agree to use LATORIN only for personal exam preparation and not to: share or sell your account; scrape, copy, or redistribute exam content; reverse-engineer the service; cheat, harass others, or break the law; overload or disrupt our systems; or use automated bots without our permission. Exam materials and AI feedback are for learning only.

4. Content and intellectual property

TL;DR: exam content belongs to LATORIN; your submitted content stays yours, we just get a licence to run the service.

LATORIN owns or licenses the exam content, site design, and branding. You may not republish, sell, or publicly share our paid or free exam materials. Content you submit (answers, writing, LATORIN AI messages, teacher materials if you teach) stays yours where the law allows. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display it so we can run the service (including AI grading and support). Speaking audio and transcripts may be processed by our voice/AI providers to deliver and grade the session.

5. Wallet, packs, and payments

TL;DR: you top up your wallet and spend it on packs/mocks. Refunds follow our Refund Policy.

LATORIN uses a wallet model: you top up balance (in the currency shown in the shop for your locale, e.g. IRR for Iran) and spend it on exam packs, full mocks, LATORIN AI credits, or other paid items. Purchases are generally one-time digital goods. Not auto-renewing subscriptions unless we clearly label a product as a subscription later. Prices are shown before you pay. Payment is processed by the gateways we enable (local Iranian methods and/or international options, depending on availability). You are responsible for any bank or gateway fees on your side. Refunds follow our Refund Policy. Unused wallet balance is not a bank deposit and earns no interest; it can only be used on LATORIN unless refunded under that policy.

6. Teaching on LATORIN

TL;DR: your course content stays yours; LATORIN takes a platform commission on paid course sales.

These rules apply if you apply to teach or publish on LATORIN. 1. Eligibility & review. Applications are reviewed before approval. We may approve, decline, or later revoke teacher access for breach of these Terms or quality issues. 2. Your content. You keep ownership of courses, lessons, and posts you create. You grant LATORIN a non-exclusive licence to host, display, and promote them on the platform. You confirm you have the rights to everything you upload and that it does not infringe others' rights or applicable law. 3. Accuracy & conduct. You are responsible for accuracy and quality, and for treating learners respectfully. Misleading, plagiarised, illegal, or harmful content may be removed. 4. Earnings & commission. Paid courses sell at the price you set (subject to our approval). LATORIN keeps a platform commission shown in your dashboard; the rest accrues as earnings. 5. Payouts & verification. Payouts go through our payment process (which may include identity verification). You are responsible for your own taxes and for providing correct bank/payout details. 6. Independent capacity. You act as an independent content creator, not an employee or agent of LATORIN. 7. Changes. We may update teacher terms; continued teaching after changes means acceptance.

7. Suspension and termination

TL;DR: you can close your account anytime; abuse or fraud can get an account suspended.

You may stop using LATORIN and request account deletion at any time (subject to pending payments or legal holds). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse free tryouts, commit fraud, or harm other users or the service.

8. Educational purpose and AI estimates

TL;DR: LATORIN is not an official IELTS test centre. Our scores are educational estimates, not official results.

LATORIN is for practice and learning only. We are not affiliated with official IELTS organisations as a test centre, and scores or band estimates from our AI (Writing, Speaking, overall) or self-check sections are educational estimates. Not official IELTS results and not a guarantee of your score on test day. The service is provided "as is" within the limits of applicable law. We aim for reliability but do not warrant uninterrupted access or error-free AI feedback.

9. Limitation of liability

TL;DR: our liability for any purchase is capped at the amount you paid for it.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law (including mandatory consumer protections in Iran where they apply), LATORIN is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the service, including exam outcomes, university admission, or third-party gateway outages. Our total liability for a claim related to a paid purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that purchase in the preceding 12 months, except where the law forbids such a limit.

10. Changes to these Terms

TL;DR: we give notice before material changes take effect; continued use means you accept them.

We may update these Terms. For material changes, we will give reasonable notice (for example by email, SMS where available, or an in-app notice) before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change. If you continue using LATORIN after the effective date, you accept the new Terms.

Questions about these Terms: info@latorin.ir. For users in Iran, mandatory provisions of Iranian consumer and electronic commerce rules apply to the extent required by law. For other users, mandatory local consumer law may also apply. Nothing in these Terms is meant to waive rights that cannot be waived under the law of your place of residence.
